“Lists” counts how many of the lists in the selected year (or across all three years) include the same title, so a book McKinsey recommended in both 2024 and 2025 counts twice. J.P. Morgan entries include each year’s spotlight title. Gates Notes combines Bill Gates’s summer and holiday picks into one list per year (2026 has the summer list so far); they are confirmed through press coverage because gatesnotes.com blocks automated access. The LSE list is the LSE Review of Books editors’ best books of 2024; LSE published no general list in 2025 or 2026. Flags show each author’s nationality (hover for the country); authors whose nationality we couldn’t confirm, and organisations, have none. Goldman Sachs’ annual back-to-school list ran from 2015 to 2019 and BlackRock Investment Institute’s summer and holiday lists from 2015 to 2019; both are taken from archived copies of their original pages (Wayback Machine), and neither firm has published a list since. There are no lists in this tracker for 2020–2023. Lloyd Blankfein’s Streetwise appears in 2026 through the LBS list. The 2024 LBS picks are taken from the LBS library’s Think@LBS bookshelf, as the original article is no longer online.
